The integrations setting allows you to connect with other systems and services to streamline your workflow. OpenRoad TMS supports a variety of integrations, including Samsara.
The API token must be generated from your Samsara account and set as Samsara Token in the OpenRoad TMS, along with the Samsara Group ID. New token must be Global Write.
In order to see truck's location, copy the truck's Unit ID number:
And save the number as "Name" in Samsara:
NOTE: To see HOS statuses in OpenRoad TMS after the integration, all of the marked options in Samsara must be enabled.
Please also note that this information needs to match in OpenRoad TMS and Samsara to connect successfully:
For Trucks:
- The Samsara name should be identical to the unit number in OpenRoad.
For Trailers:
- The Samsara name should be "Trailer 123" or "trailer 123," where 123 is a unit number identical to the one in OpenRoad.
For Driver HOS:
- It can be in the format "Number Firstname Lastname."
- It can be in the format "Number - Firstname Lastname."
- It can be in the format "Firstname Lastname."
- The number, whether it appears first or second, must be an integer from 0-9, such as "0D01" or "D001."
- All of these values are case-sensitive and must exactly match in Samsara and OpenRoad.
