To find the account settings, click on your username at the top right of any OpenRoad TMS page:

Next, select the Settings line from the drop-down menu:

And click on the Account tab:

This will reveal several additional settings that can be customized.

Main info

The main info tab allows you to provide more information about your company, such as name, phone, address etc. Additionally, you can upload your company's logo, which will replace the default OpenRoad logo and be displayed prominently at the top left corner of the TMS. This customization can help reinforce your brand and make it easier for users to recognize your company's presence within the platform.

Billing

The billing tab allows you to customize the information that will be displayed in your invoices. When customizing your invoices through the billing tab, you can input various details that will be displayed to your customers. These include billing specifics such as the customer's name and address, the invoice number and P.O. number, terms of payment, as well as a description of the services or products being billed and their corresponding costs.

To ensure that your invoice contains all the necessary information, click on the Preview Invoice button to view a sample of how the final invoice will appear to your customers.

Loads

Through the loads settings tab, you can set specific parameters that will affect how loads are managed in your organization.

For instance, you can specify whether certain fields, such as time in/time out, driver with truck, driver appointment time, and out of service (OOS) equipment, should be mandatory or not. By making these fields mandatory, you can ensure that all necessary information is captured, which can help prevent errors and ensure compliance with regulations.

Trailer types

The trailer types setting enables you to define and customize the various types of trailers that will be used in your organization.

As shown in the image below, you can view the default trailer types that are already set up in the system. If you need to create a new trailer type that is not listed, you can easily do so by clicking on the plus icon, which will allow you to define the new trailer type and specify its characteristics and attributes.

Compensations

The compensations setting allows you to specify the types of compensation that drivers receive, which includes flat rates, percentage-based payments, and payments based on distance traveled per mile.

This setting helps you to manage your driver compensation effectively and efficiently, leading to better driver retention, improved profitability, and better business outcomes.

If you need to add a new compensation type, it is a straightforward process that can be accomplished quickly and easily. To get started, simply click on the plus button and fill out the information:

Payroll schedules

Within the payroll schedules setting, you can define the schedules for paying employees. This includes specifying the schedule name, the number of days until payment, the frequency of payment, and the first day of the payroll cycle.

To add a new payroll schedule, click on the plus button. This will open a fill-out form.

By default, the first day of the payroll cycle is set to Sunday, but if this doesn't align with your needs, simply select a new day from the available options in the first day of payroll field.
