Assigning and dispatching a load

Modified on Wed, 3 May, 2023 at 6:53 AM

To dispatch the load, you need to have a load page opened (see article for load page).

First, you need to assign a driver to the load. To do so, click on the No Driver Assigned field and select a driver:

In case you need to unassign a driver, click on this icon:

After a new window pops up, click on the OK button:

The confirmation message should appear at the top of the page:

To assign different drivers to the load, the Quick Split feature needs to be used. Click on the Quick Split button:

This will open a fill-out form. The address will be the location where the load will be split. To assign a different linehaul for the new driver, fill in the Driver Linehaul field.

After filling out the mandatory fields that are marked with a * symbol and any extra information that you need, click on the Driver field and select a different driver from the drop-down options:

When the new driver is selected and present in the Driver field, click on the Save button:

The new driver will now appear for the split load:

For dispatching a load, there are two ways to do it- either click on the the phone icon that will appear after you assign a driver (which is the most common way to do it):

Or click on the Dispatch button at the top of the page:

Clicking on the Dispatch button will open a double-check form for confirming the driver, pick-up, and delivery dates.

To receive information about a dispatched load, drivers must have the app installed on their phone or tablet. Please keep in mind that the driver will only be able to see the date and time set in the 'Driver App. Time To' fields.

The phone icon used for dispatching can also indicate different stages of dispatch. If it is red, it means that the load has not been accepted by the driver yet.

By hovering over the phone icon, you can see the text confirming this:

If it is green, the driver has accepted the load.

By hovering over the phone icon, you can see the text confirming this:
